This is my tagline or catchphrase. Any questions?
Sometimes we forget that other places exist, and think differently about things. That's one reason I like to pay attention to UK news. Reuters (Roy•ters) is my UK news source of choice. Think... British Associated Press.
Well this is how their Andrea Hopkins wrote about Sara Palin's pregnant daughter.
In America, where teenage pregnancy is a political issue and working moms subject to moral debate, the choice of Sarah Palin as the Republican vice-presidential pick has ignited a Mommy War.
How awesome is that? Its sets the tone that this is a story about a non-issue being treated as a big story by us silly Americans. Which I agree with of course. But what does strike me is the recurring fact that Republican politicians the traditional family values party
, seem to rarely live in traditional family situations. That I find to be the interesting story.
She also killed support for teen mother programs in Alaska, favoring abstinence programs. How funny is that!?
Lately my head has been chewing on a lot of politics. I apologies for that. But this just was just too good to pass up.

It speaks for it's self pretty well I think.
It has been some time since I bothered to write about any kind of political issues. The campaigning is way to early, and I didn't like the idea of devoting any of my my time to it. But Recently I noticed a buzz on the net regarding Ron Paul's showing, and how he was treated at the most recent Republican debate.
Basically Dr. Paul (yes he was lernt a lot of scoolen) stands for all the old, truly traditional republican ideals. The ideals republicans had before Regan. He wants us to pull out of Iraq, because it's none of our business really, and our being there just pisses them off. He thinks that the budget should be balanced, by dropping all the stupid military spending. Our military spends more money than each and every single other nation on the planet, COMBINED! In general unless there is a clear need for the government to step in, is should stay out.
All of these old traditional Republican values, are generally in great conflict with the new traditional Republican values. Specifically those of Fox news. So when Fox sees it's party being handed over this Doctor Strange by a 33% margin. They have no choice but to try to discredit him by making his ideas sound silly. Well strange thing is his ideas are actually quite intelligent, and people generally agree with them.
I never imagined that I would support a Republican. All of the Democrats, just like all of the other Republicans, seem like they are just following the party line. All the other republicans are shouting "Bla bla there, other stuff here". Hillary has been carefully crafting her opinions and allegiances to whatever the party likes at the time, since she married Bill. Obama, is a charismatic breath of fresh air, who is only just different enough, to seem different.
Plus we haven't had a President with a doctorate since 1921. Actually Woodrow Wilson was the only one ever. But it makes me feel better having a well educated individual in charge.
