I went back to some photos from earlier in the year. I originally turned an entire shoot for a friend from NXP into black white high contrast things for a Sin City type portrait. This time I decided to take some of those and make different color versions.

The concept was for rap album covers. What do you think?

Today Flickr seriously pissed me off. Well Flickr is actually owned by Yahoo and they actually pissed me off. It gave me trepidations at the beginning when I had to sign up for one of their email accounts to use Flickr, but I did it anyway. For some reason today I couldn't login. My username was right, and I tried all 3 of my common passwords. Still no go. Not normally a big deal right? Simply request a new password be sent your email address, just like every other site in the world.

Nope. Yahoo doesn't work like that. They also want the birthday, postal code, and country that you gave them when you signed up. Well I never give any site valid info for all that dren! There is no reason they need it, outside of their own market research.

Well screw them! I found 23. They do all the same things Flickr does, and as far as I can tell their servers are much faster, bonus. Oh and I can't forget my favorite part. They haven't been bought by any stupid net conglomerate that I never liked even over a decade ago when they started. All 23 wanted from me was a username, password, and email address. Nice and simple. I like simple. Honestly I think a lot of the net is getting too complicated latley. I could write a whole another rant about the new security on my bank's site.

So Fuck Flickr. Welcome 23.
